Unwritten
Natalie, dancing to "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. This song became popular when Shannon was pregnant with Natalie, and when I heard it on the radio, it made me think of the child who was then in the womb. It's a silly pop song, but all the talk of blank pages and life being an unwritten story seemed appropriate.
When Natalie was younger, we used to dance to it. If this video is any indication, she still enjoys the song.

Uh, Oh...Part II
Walking. Not the first steps she took, but definitely in the first dozen.
Time to baby-proof the house again.

Trouble

Natalie at Green Gables. Something tells me this look does not bode well for the future.

Random Vacation Shots
A view of Northumberland Provincial Park, on the southeast side of the island. The red sand is amazing.

A lily on the grounds of Green Gables, a site that turned out to be more interesting than expected.

Under the Maple Leaf, Day 2

Prince Edward Island is beautiful.
After crossing an extremely long and surprisingly frightening bridge, we spent the day getting some groceries and setting down in our cabin. The weather wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible, either. If anything, it gave us an excuse to simply sit in the cabin, enjoy a nice dinner and do nothing.
So in a sense, this is a post about nothing.
Which, apart from the claustrophobic bridge from hades, is what I've enjoyed today. Tomorrow, we brave the Green Gables.
On another note, my vacation became even sweeter when I discovered that I'm now a two-time Maine Press Association award recipient - third place columnist. Sure, it's third place, but it beats no place.
