Dancing Queen

The Dancing Queen.

She really seems to like this toy.

I don't think I'll ever be able to get the song out of my head, though.

Picture below the jump.

UPDATE - Hmmm...this does not bode well. From the comments:

Once again, you have delighted my son with movies of your daughter. After watching it for the fifth time he said: And I quote....."Her pushing that button and her dancing. Her a good dancer. I want to watch it again. I love it!" I don't know....I think he's got a little crush!
Don't get any ideas, Kaden.

I've got my eye on you, kid...

Random Rules--My Turn

Ok, I've accepted the challenge. Here are the first 10 songs to come up on my Nano shuffle yesterday. I must say, a pretty good representation of me. :) Here goes:

1. The Inside Out--Cinderella Man soundtrack--Thomas Newman...love him! (Shawshank, Finding Nemo...so good)

2. How to Save a Life--The Fray--one of those songs I never would have picked up on if it weren't for my hubby--he's definitely more pop culture aware than than this Sunday School girl :)

3. Good as Murder--again, Cinderella Man

4. You are My Hiding Place--Selah--I love this Christian group--great redos of old hymns with beautiful harmonies.

5. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross--Selah--the words say it all

6. Slow Dancing in a Burning Room--John Mayer--ok, there is a little bad word in this one, but I just love the slow soulful sultriness of it--good for dancin' in the kitchen with your honey :)

7. Uncreated One--Chris Tomlin--a beautiful song

8. All Prayed Out--more Cinderella Man

9. Questions for Heaven--Chris Rice--this playful song really gets me thinking about how amazing it will be

10. And last but not least, one of my favorite new songs--Typical--Mutemath--also sung recently by Chris Sligh on American Idol

So there you have it--Esther and Amy? If you don't have an Ipod, just put your CDs on shuffle. Love you and have a great day! Shan

Snow Camp

Nat went on her first youth group adventure recently when we headed to our beloved Camp Fairhaven in Brooks, Maine for the annual Snow Camp weekend. The camp has had a special place in my heart since high school, so it was so fun to be there again, now as a family.
Nat loved all the attention from the kids and got to be an honorary capture the flag player. :) I really enjoyed being with the kids again. My main responsibility was Nat, but other than that I could just hang out and catch up with them. Nat especially enjoyed time with her Uncle Sam, who was one of our chaperones and did an awesome job!
Sweet pics below. In the last one you can see how dirty her socks got crawling across the lodge floor--she loved it!
