The Kid at 11 Weeks

I've got to say, the kid is much more interesting here. During the sonogram, he was moving his arms and legs and turning away at times. A note on style - Shan and I are waiting to find out the baby's sex until he's born, but I'm going to write "he" most of the time because it's easier than trying to find ways around pronouns or writing "he/she" every time.
What's amazing is that he grew from 1.18 cm at 7 weeks to 4 cm today. Pretty cool, even if he does look like one of the Area 51 aliens.

God Hit the Reset Button
As all of you family and friends know, Shan is pregnant with our first child. The line above, originally written by James Lileks, perfectly describes how I feel. Although the kid's arrival is still seven months away, a lot of my priorities have been reset - sure, it would be great to have a better-paying job, a nicer car or a Bose home theater system, but those things are honestly less important to me right now than having a healthy kid.
This site won't be updated every day, but Shan and I hope to keep you all involved in what's going on in our lives and in the new life that we all get to meet in April.
