White House: Blame Bush (again)
When in doubt, go with a talking point the media refuses to challenge:
WASHINGTON, May 11 (Reuters) - High U.S. budget deficits are being driven by an economic crisis that President Barack Obama inherited, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag said on Monday. Now, the numbers:

For the current year, the government would borrow 46 cents for every dollar it takes to run the government under the administration's plan. In one of the few positive signs, the actual 2009 deficit is likely to be $250 billion less than predicted because Congress is unlikely to provide another $250 billion in financial bailout money. That dastardly Bush! How dare he force Obama to draft a deficit-ballooning budget!

Sadly, we'll see this liar in office for another 4 years, I'm sure he'll put the blame on Bush until the economy actually turns around, then reap the benefits. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac won't be mentioned at all, strangely enough.

Obama will only be able to blame Bush for another month or two. CNN will try to carry His water for longer, but the immediate gratification generation is going to want to be immediately gratified.
Conservatives need to stick to opposing the Obama economic plans. When inflation, interest rates and unemployment are all in double digits, Democrats won't be able to point their fingers of blame back at conservatives.
Conservatives have many things to be optimistic about. Unfortunately, convincing the rest of the country that liberal economics don't work, will require letting Obama have his way for a while. Still.. there are many blessings for conservatives out there.. including:

talking against Obama supporters in a social setting is akin to saying "I have a communicable disease" I can't say I don't agree with his policies without anyone assuming I comes down to racism.
which is silly, slublog and I are a mixed breed, half and half. Don't think we haven't seen some sort of prejudice ourselves.
