Oh, Goody
The crashing economy won't be a barrier to Obama's spending.
The economic crisis will not stop President-elect Barack Obama from expanding health care, overhauling education and energy policy, and passing a middle-class tax cut soon after he takes office in January, senior aides said on Sunday.Well, isn't that special.Meanwhile the U.S. Congress should act to ease the pain of an economy sliding into recession by extending unemployment benefits and boosting aid to states struggling to meet their health-care obligations, they said.
Obama's transitional team has outlined an ambitious agenda for the next several months as it scrambles to assemble an administration in the face of what is widely viewed as the worst economic slump since the Great Depression.
I hope between now and the inauguration, Obama listens to the advice of prominent economists. If not...well, heck. My wife has a recession-proof job, and I'm just frustrated enough to go from taxpayer to tax-beneficiary. Bring it on, Mr. President-elect.

Looks like no matter what we are in for a couple years of liberal control. It won't take long for the public to realize that the dems cannot deliver on all the big promises and I expect a massive turnover in the house and senate in a couple of years. Until them. Conservatives have to stick together. Pick an organization and join it -- answer their calls for action and make sure your voice is heard. We cannot sit siletly by while the liberals run us into the ground.
I pay close attention to the stuff that comes out of the US Chamber because I think that they are the best advocates on the issues that are important to me. I saw this video recently, and I think the message to conservatives is clear --
