Olbermann's Eagleton Gambit

This is just disgusting. Keith Olbermann, based on this post, wants to know whether Sarah Palin has ever been treated for depression.

Is Olbermann trying to insinuate that depressed people are somehow less qualified to serve in government than those who do not? Is it 1968 all over again?

Punked by NRO? - Ace put up a correction of sorts, saying Olbermann was defending Palin. Although after reading the transcript - to paraphrase Olbermann - with "defenses" like that, who needs attacks?

Still, as nonsensical as Olbermann's defense was, it seems I was a bit too credulous of NRO's reporting of the events.

Dude, I think you need to watch the entire program. That is not the way he put it.

Yeah, the NRO got it wrong-Olbermann wasn't saying actually asking if Palin should be treated for depression. Still, and this is coming from an Olbermann fan, he (carelessly, not deliberately, I believe) gave the impression that it WOULD be a problem if Palin was actually suffering from depression. Not a positive step for advocates for those suffering from depression. :/
