Under Pressure

In a recent speech, Barack Obama said that if Americans properly inflated the tires on their cars, we could save as much oil as additional drilling would produce.

Time's Michael Grunwald (last seen salivating over McCain's slim chances) spins furiously for Obama here, and Ed at Hot Air provides some much-needed context here - in short, we're not mocking what you think we're mocking..

I find it curious that the same media that allowed Barack Obama to misrepresent John McCain's "100 years in Iraq" comment is working overtime to make the Democrat's ridiculous statement seem less ridiculous. The reason for the disparity in coverage may seem obvious, but is simple even-handed professionalism too much to expect from today's media?

It is a funny "solution"..and it is even funnier how the media is trying to defend it using bad data, and ignoring the fact that overinflated tires might not be the best solutions in all kinds of weather ;)
