Edwards Comes Clean

Well, almost comes clean, anyway. The timing doesn't quite work out as he says, so I'm wondering if this story is really over. It should be interesting to see what the media does at this point - they gave this story the blackout treatment and didn't consider it news until the object of the story admitted his actions. How often have they allowed a Republican to determine the trajectory of a news story?
They have two choices - consider the story over with Edwards' admission, or actually do some journalism and determine whether he's telling the truth about the timeline, the payoffs and the paternity. I'm guessing most will pick the former option - after all, there's poor Elizabeth to think about.
They're hoping you ignore the fact that they didn't have the same regard for the feelings of Mrs. McCain, Mrs. Vitter and Mrs. Craig.
