Maverick's Maverickyness Strikes Again

I'm so glad the GOP nominated this jerk guy.

Senator John McCain put the blame on Wall Street for the home mortgage credit crisis that has roiled financial markets around the world.

``Wall Street is the villain in the things that happened in the subprime lending crisis and other areas where investigations and possible prosecution is going on,'' McCain said during a taped appearance on ABC's ``This Week'' program.

The Arizona Republican, who has wrapped up his party's presidential nomination, said he supports the housing bill passed by Congress yesterday to stem foreclosures and aid Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the largest U.S. mortgage-finance companies, even though it may cost taxpayers as much as $25 billion.

So...let me get this straight - free markets are bad, but bailing out companies that have gained power by intimidating elected officials is...good?

This makes me wonder whether McCain is for or against excessive government spending? Because $25 billion is quite a bit of money. I find it interesting that a guy who has made such an issue of earmarks is willing to back a bailout of this size.

What an unusual election this has turned out to be. I can't stand either party's nominee, and do not really want either of them to be president. I hate being put in the position of choosing which man I dislike less. 300 million Americans and these two jokers are the best we can do?

A Soros-owned and operated stealth socialist, Juan Amnesty McVain, best buddy of the uber-libs in the Senate, is supposed to be the "lesser evil"... I like to call him their(commie-lib Dems') "Trojan Horse", or the ever-popular "Manchurian Candidate".

I still want my yard sign. I'm willing to pay.

Hey you kids, get off my Yard!
John McCain ... for President

And in small print underneath.
Old and Cranky, and not so hot for Change

Would be that he were this candidate. He'd get my vote. Right now, not so much.
