Time to Break Out the Heavy-Duty Clothespins

That's right! I am...dangerous.

Good grief, Maverick™. Guess you didn't learn that lesson as well as we'd hoped, huh?

As I've said before on this site, I think we need to find a way to assimilate those who are already in this country illegally, but not until the border has been secured. No point bailing out the boat until you've plugged the leak. Given that McCain was one of the sponsors of a miserable amnesty bill, I can't say that I trust him to secure the borders.

One of my major issues with this is just how arrogant the supporters of this 'comprehensive reform' are. During the battle over McCain's amnesty bill, Americans made their feelings abundantly clear and the measure was defeated. Despite that, our political elite just keep trying to push this thing through, ignoring the will of the majority who oppose it.

McCain is once again allowing his Maverickness to get in the way of his absolute need to attract conservatives to his candidacy. At this point, the only thing keeping me marginally in his camp is the fact that his likely opponent is a hard-left Marxist who needs to be kept out of power. Honestly, if he were running against Hillary, I'd be pretty darned tempted to defect.

Wow. I need a bleach bath after admitting that one.

I just don't understand why the Maverick™ needs to make voting for him so hard?

Update - Via Laura, hmmmmmm...does this explain the Maverick? Bill Quick really makes me reconsider voting for McCain with that post, but more so with this one. I cannot believe idiot GOP voters actually nominated this guy.

Time to nuke New Hampshire?

Maybe...

Bill Quick made a VERY persuasive case that Mav is purposely driving conservatives out of the party; he thinks he can win without us, and if he does, he OWNS the party and can claim a mandate to do all the stuff he's going to do anyway.

Take a look: http://dailypundit.com/?p=30418

I'd be very interested in your take on it.

His VP choice will go a long way towards showing McCain's attitude towards conservatives:

  • Another RINO: "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"
  • Huckabee: "The only conservatives I care about are the ones that will vote for me no matter what I do"
  • A real conservative: "Maybe I want to actually win this fall"

The idiot republicans didn't pick this guy, the dems did in their version of operation chaos.
