Maine's Delegation Visits the Trough

For your own good, of course.

In all, Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe and Democratic Rep. Tom Allen are seeking a total of $534 million for 274 non-defense related projects in the 12 spending bills Congress needs to pass to keep the government running in the next fiscal year, according to the lists the three lawmakers provided the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.
Why not, right? It's not like it's their money or anything. They're just being 'sensitive' to the state's need. Never mind that the money they took out of my paycheck to spend on preserving an artist's studio, a camp in Saco or lobster ropes is money I could have spent on supporting my family or paying off my mortgage.

Tell me again why Susan Collins deserves my vote this November?
