Obama's Ragin' Reverend
Ace and Allah are constantly updating on the controversy and the reaction to it by the left, the Obama campaign and the media. Ace notes the media's reaction has been especially egregious, considering how focused they were on Mitt Romney's faith last year.
Personally, I think Obama should have seen this coming. This says he's either not all that politically savvy, or that he's so immersed in that church's teachings that he didn't see anything wrong or controversial with what Reverend Wright was preaching.
Scrappleface is having some fun with this story. Following his lead, I've decided to 'explore the studio space' a bit myself.

Obama has condemned Wright's statements, but I think the damage on this one has been done...to both campaigns. Obama's going to take the short-term heat, but I think Hillary will suffer if she wins the primary.
I think African-American voters will blame her for putting their churches in a bad light and given the strong social connection to church, will punish her in the general election. They won't give McCain their votes, but many can certainly sit this one out. Since her campaign is already suspect for the statements of her husband and Geraldine Ferraro. it won't take much for the distrust to blossom.
