Are you Suffering from MGS?
My buddy Dan outlines the symptoms.
My wife probably wishes she woke up this morning with Jon Bon Jovi.I'm an MGS sufferer myself. My wife and daughter are both morning people and caffeine is a necessity, not an option. I hope our next child is more like me. Someone who reacts to the morning sun by pulling the covers over his (or her) head.Scandalous, I know.
Instead, she awoke to the sound of me singing Bon Jovi in the shower.
When I’ve had a good night’s sleep, and I’m feeling refreshed and ready for the challenges of the day before me, it’s easy to get caught up in the lyrics, belting it out for all it’s worth. “I’ve seen a million faces,” I howled off-key. “And…” wait for it… “I’ve rocked them all.” Oh yeah!
As you endeavor to erase the image of me in the shower from your gray matter, let me reassure you, we’re here today to talk about a very serious issue that may affect you or someone you know. I’m talking about Morning Grumpus Syndrome (MGS).

Bon Jovi in the morning would make anyone hate mornings.
That being said, I also suffer from MGS.

There is something worse than not being a morning person. Having a preschooler who is a night person. Go to bed already!

I literally put an eye mask in the morning if the sun is too bright in our room...
