I...Want...

game.jpg

Vanity Fair looks at the new Star Wars game, and deems it...awesome.

By the time the demonstration was over, I was left with the unmistakable sense that LucasArts was on the cutting edge of a huge leap forward for the video-game industry—a technological breakthrough, nearly as revolutionary as the introduction of sound in film, that could finally give gaming the kind of immersive realism that would enable it to join movies and television as a form of mainstream entertainment.
All of those fancy words are just another way of saying...whoa.

This game looks incredible. And it's almost enough to make me want to purchase a new console. Actually, to be more precise, this game looks awesome enough to encourage me to start begging my wife to let me purchase a new console.

I'm not sure when it's out, but I can't wait. It'll have to compete with Smash Bros. on my Wii, though.

I was going to mention this game to you, but I see you've already got your eye on it. I want it!
I still play Jedi Academy every once in a while. Sadly, Lucas Arts is only releasing this game for consoles which seems to be a growing trend. It makes me angry.

The Hostages have a little vid up on the integration of the three software packages it took to put this together.

Fascinating stuff.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
