The Midcoast Mullet Queen

My friend Dan reveals my college shame.

I’m not sure why I’m reluctant to seek a haircut from a barber. It may have something to do with the fact that the barber I went to when I was a child had me convinced that what he was spraying on my head to wet my hair was in fact “pickle juice.” It may be the fact that my young Republican friend from college always came back from the barber looking like a freshly sheared 12-year-old.
Of course, back then my hair didn't have flecks of gray in it and both of my knees actually worked.

Still, a pretty good description. And considering the sad follicle fate of some college friends, I consider myself lucky.
