In for a Penny...
This is a two-man race.
Sure, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul are technically still running for president, but let's be frank. Paul is just in it for the blimp, and Huckabee just wants to play the spoiler because he either thinks he has a shot at being chosen for vice president, or he wants to keep a Mormon away from the nomination. Regardless of his motivations, I think Huckabee has run one of the most disgraceful campaigns I've seen, and I'm disheartened by those he chooses to associate with. I think the "prosperity gospel" is heresy, and association with it doesn't speak well of Huckabee.
I really do not want John McCain to be my party's nominee for president. Even though I could slowly talk myself into grudgingly accepting McCain as an alternative to Clinton or Obama, I don't want to be forced into making that choice. Mitt Romney is not a perfect candidate, but he is better than either McCain or Huckabee. I'm with Bryan at Hot Air - I like people who can fix things, and resent those who resort to class-warfare arguments.
For those reasons, I'm going to do something I haven't done before in a primary - encourage readers to donate to a presidential candidate. If you have a few dollars to spare, I encourage you to send them Romney's way. He is the only candidate who can stop the rise of The Maverick™ and prevent what I think could be an electoral disaster for the GOP.
If nothing else, defeating McCain would irritate the voters in early primary states who think they're entitled to pick your candidate.

Or do what I did. Go to Romney's store on his website and buy some stuff. I got a yard sign, a t-shirt, bumper stickers and pins. I get to show my support and throw some money his way.

Preaching a "prosperity gospel" IS heresy, if it means that Christians have better material rewards on earth. All of the Apostles were persecuted and murdered, so it's idiotic to think that God wants his believers to be rich. God wants his believers to carry their Cross.
And Huckabee can go **** himself.
