Dealing with the Devil?

You know, I can forgive a lot of things that John McCain has done. I can overlook the deal on judges, the vote against the tax cuts and his constant need to be The Maverick.™ With McCain rising in the polls, I've resigned myself to the possibility of voting for him, and have spent time talking myself into it.
The problem is, he keeps doing things that make him hard to like. George Soros? The man who gave a ton of money to Moveon.org? The guy who said removing George W. Bush from office was a "central focus" of his life? The headline is an obvious overstatement. Soros isn't the devil, but he's sure not a particularly nice guy.
Ace asks a good question - shouldn't the guy who pushed for campaign finance reform be a bit more careful about his financial associations?

You've got to update your site. I can't handle seeing those two man-lovers anymore.

Slu,
I have read your work against the huckster, and agree with you on almost all of it. But, unfortunately after Fred dropping out, I am starting to look at Huck!
I guess it boils down to 2 things, yes that makes me shallow, but I am a NRA life member and the 2nd amendment is one of my issues. Abortion is the other.
I cannot vote for McAmnesty, That leaves Romney, who is at best weak on guns and less weak on abortion.
What is a guy to do?
Now to totally contradict myself, I live in Fl, and we vote Tuesday (in case you have not heard)/sarc off
I think that I WILL vote for Romney, to stop McAmnesty.
How stupid is that?

I can't handle seeing those two man-lovers anymore.
But they're so cute! :-)

The problem is, those are the only two issues Huckabee is good on. Romney may not be fantastic on guns, but I don't believe any politician is going to do anything drastic on that issue. And I honestly believe he's sincere in his change on abortion.

In thinking more about it, there are other reasons that are important to me, WOT being the big 3rd. Thinking about why I hate McAmnesty, He is good on guns, abortion, and WOT. So why do I despise him? Amnesty. Huck is as bad as McAmnesty on immigration. So I guess I will be voting for Romney with a clearer conscience.
And to be honest, I think within 6 months Huck would be on TV crying about something and who knows resigning. The media would Jim Baker him in a minute.
