A Conference Call with Thompson

Well, that was an interesting opportunity.

Along with a few other bloggers, I participated in a conference all with Fred Thompson. Jim Geraghty has a rough transcript of what was said, and Bryan at Hot Air and Dan Riehl also give their accounts.

My take? I think tonight's debate could be interesting, as Thompson suggested he was going to draw sharper contrasts between himself and the other candidates. My feeling is that he's going to go after Huckabee. He also said to expect a very big conservative endorsement tomorrow. Overall, Thompson seems to be having fun on the campaign trail - perhaps it's being down south in more familiar territory.

All in all, kind of neat. Never thought when I started this stupid blog that I'd get the chance to participate in a forum with a presidential candidate.
