Huckabee: Negative Campaigning is Bad, Unless...

Criminy.

As Allah points out, he's going negative while pretending to hate negative campaigning. And, of course, using his faith as a selling point.

A couple of weeks ago, I disagreed with Mike Huckabee. Now, I really find myself disliking him. If he's the GOP nominee, I don't think I could vote for him, as I believe he'd make a terrible president.

If Iowa voters give Huckabee their blessing despite his many shortcomings, the GOP should seriously reconsider the current primary schedule. Huckabee is the wrong man for these times, and if Iowa voters can't see that, then they don't deserve the honor of choosing the first delegates.

Update - Chutzpah alert!

The "social-conservatism-only, don't look at my incompetence" platform might fool Iowans and Texans. The northeast, though, still have lots of GOP delegates to send to the convention even if they go blue every fall. Can you imagine New Yorkers, or more to the point New Hampshirians, falling for this crap?

Yes, why can't we rotate states for the first votes?

"Now, I really find myself disliking him."

Welcome to the Club. That people don't seem able to see through Huckabee is very disturbing. I have a feeling the blogosphere will be making a huge difference in the importance given to one state over another. The MSM will fight us, of course, by continuing to do what they always do - spin and play kingmaker a year before the election. But we will do what we do best, too - expose the truth.

See you back at HA!

Come on, NH gets to be relevant once every four years. It may as well be on the moon the rest of the time.
