The End of America?

Pat Buchanan seems to think America is finished.

Rick Moran disagrees.

It's hard to believe that Buchanan once worked for Ronald Reagan. Obviously, none of the Gipper's optimism rubbed off on ol' Pat.

A struggle for global hegemony has begun among the United States, China, a resurgent Russia and radical Islam

This, of course, was the subject of much of my table-pounding on my now-dormant blog (I think I wrote 30 posts on this topic). But look at this threat and then ponder what good it will do to withdraw all our troops from the vicinity of Russia (a later bullet point). Buchanon says that the withdrawal will help avert a second Cold War (a war I believe is already in progress), but it's difficult to see why Russia would drop its plans for global hegemony. In fact, that withdrawal just facilitates their plans.
