Pullo!

titus.jpg

James Lileks created this. For those who don't know, Titus Pullo is a character from HBO's unfortunately-canceled series "Rome." My wife and I are about halfway through the second season on DVD.

Of all the characters on the show, I like Pullo the most. What's interesting is that although the exploits of Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo are based on a writer's imagination, those two men actually lived.

This season is dark, but makes me wish the show had not ended after only two seasons.

Rome? Eff that! Get yourself Dexter, season 1, that's a dark show, but quite funny too.

That's on the Netflix queue.

Right after "Deadwood."
