CBS' Reality Television Missteps
Considering China's human rights record, a "Survivor: China" seems a bit inappropriate.
Between this and the ridiculous "Kid Nation," I think CBS has done some damage to the reality television genre.
At least, one can hope.

No, reality television is like the dreaded hydra; for every head that gets chopped off, two more will be there to take its place.
As long as reality television is cheaper to produce than shows involving actors, and people are willing to watch them in droves, we'll be inundated with such silliness.
The only one I could conceivably watch is Bravo's Top Chef, and only because I enjoy seeing what the chefs produce under the different conditions. But I've only seen it when my friends wanted to watch it, so I haven't jumped on that bandwagon quite yet.

China's human rights record? What about Survivor's human rights record? People are starved, forced to labor, exposed to elements, pitted against each other and segregated according to race. How could they really judge China?
