Spying on Bangor's Rental Habits

James Lileks, blogging at his new internet pad, pointed out this strange feature in Netflix. You can see what is being rented in your town. Since I'm a subscriber, I figured I'd look to see what my fellow Bangorians are watching.

1. Peyton Place - Huh. A movie filmed and set in Maine.

2. Empire Falls - Okay...another movie filmed and set in Maine.

3. Touched - Made for tv movie.

4. Gilmore Girls - That's probably just my friend Steve.

5. Bleak House: Masterpiece Theater - Wow. Culture and stuff.

6. Simpsons Gone Wild - Like I said - culture.

7. Gone in 60 Seconds - Oh, this is no good...and you know what? It doesn't get much better from here.

I'd better end this horrific experiment before I shame my humble city further.
