Challenging the Narrative

Was the federal response to Hurricane Katrina as bad as the media made it out to be?

Not really, no.

Will that stop tools like David Shuster from inserting the narrative of Hurricane Katrina into every story he reports?

Of course not.

Read some of these links during today's media Katrina-fest. The fact that they have no reason to slap themselves on the back won't stop them from celebrating what they see as a hugely successful reporting effort.

And they wonder why so many people don't trust them.
