Anwyn says this will take my mind off my disappointment with politics. So here goes.
Eight facts or habits about myself.
1. I'm going to steal Anywn's first habit, because it is one of my habits as well - I read while I eat. It is a habit I've tried to break, but to no avail. It's gotten worse since Natalie was born. She loves to eat, so dinnertime is a small oasis of free time while she's otherwise occupied. Both my wife and I hit the books while eating from time to time.
2. Fact: I have been a wedding singer. For a few summers, I sang for friends of mine who were getting married. Strictly during the ceremony stuff - no Adam Sandler getting the crowds worked up for me.
3. Habit: I re-read books that I like, sometimes many times. Among the books I've read at least a half-dozen times: "The Stand" and "It" by Stephen King, "The Guns of the South" by Harry Turtledove, "The Chronicles of Narnia," "The Problem of Pain" and "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. I've read "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy at least three times and tend to pick up a Michael Connelly crime novel and peruse it when there's nothing else to read.
4. Fact: I can juggle - clubs, balls and rings. I can juggle for some time with three, and for a short time with four balls - I use DX Chroma. For clubs, I use Henrys Circus Pirouette. I don't own any rings. I keep a set of Klutz beanbags in my desk drawer at work and juggle them to relax and clear my head if things get stressful. This skill has proven extremely useful in parenting.
5. Fact: I tend to hate movies critics and awards shows like. I hated "The English Patient," thought "Prairie Home Companion" was dull, turned "The Thin Red Line" off after 30 minutes and fell asleep during "Taxi Driver." I'm avoiding "Little Miss Sunshine" for this reason.
6. Habit: I stick my tongue out when working on stuff.
7. Fact: I hate to fly. I'm mildly claustrophobic, so I tend to get a bit twitchy in planes.
8. Fact: I have math anxiety. When asked to do math, I go into brain-lock mode. This leads to much grumbling when forced to use Excel.
Okay, I have to send this to eight people? Let's see...Steve, Geoff, Dave, Sinistar, the Bookers, Doug, Esther, Joe and heaven help us all...Wickedpinto.

Also, I'm going to pretend very hard that I did *not* just see you invite Wickedpinto to tell us eight MORE things about his sex life.

Now, I didn't specify a subject. All I know is whatever he writes about, it will be very entertaining.

Heh, I share (more or less) half of those with you. Who knew?

How many times have you read "Red Storm Rising"?

Hal - in that case, consider yourself "tagged." :-)
Dad - Yeah, I've read that one at least seven times. Maybe more.

"Little Miss Sunshine" was great. I loved it. I've re-read "The Stand" by King, but was tricked into it when he released the new longer version. Also, I re-read Watership Down which I think should be required in order to get a high school diploma.

Gee, thanks for taggin WP. I'm a little afraid of what we may learn.

Alright Slubbo, you dirty bastard! :P
I did the damn tag, but I still have to come up with eight to tag. I was hoping I'd be able to fly under the radar...to no avail.
