The Libby Verdict
A jury found Lewis Libby guilty. I say if he lied under oath or obstructed justice, he committed a crime and he should spend some time in the clink.
If it was a crime when Clinton did it, then it's a crime now. Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to say that perjury isn't a big deal. I'll leave that sort of thing to the Paul Begalas and James Carvilles of the world.
This story does bother me, though. What gives the Democrats in Congress the stones to think they can dictate the limits of executive power? If I were Bush, this sort of thing would make me want to hint at pardons, just to watch heads explode.
