Pay Up, Polluters!

coins.jpg

According to this site, my carbon footprint is miniscule. Approximately 10 tons a year, as compared to the American average of 18.

A large part of my ability to save has to do with the fact that I don't travel much, especially on airplanes. I have not flown since 2003, so in that time I have saved up a lot of carbon credits.

So here's my proposal. You pay me to stay on the ground and you get to fly and pollute to your heart's extent. As long as the money rolls in, I will not fly. That's my promise to you. (Background at Ace's.)

It's like planting your own rain forest!

You do realize that carbon credits aren't meant to be cashed in by the masses.

Yeah...eventually I'm hoping Wal-Mart starts selling them by the cash registers, like gift cards.

We proles can only dream.

Heh, I can top that: I take mass transit to work everyday!

Oh yeah. Now I'll just wait for my check from Leo.
