Sitting at Home, Watching for Purple Elephants
Okay, the drugs aren't that strong, but I do feel a bit...mellow. The slighty irritating back pain of yesterday turned into full-on spasms this morning, so I went in and got a doctor to prescribe some sweet, sweet muscle relaxants.
So now I'm sitting at home, feeling the pain ebb away and wondering why I had the terrible luck to get injured at home, rather than at work.

I'm sorry to hear it, Slublog. My husband has suffered with severe lower back pain, for a while, now. I had to call an ambulance for him nearly a year ago. I had been on a trip with my girls (an Irish dance competition)and when I got home, he was flat on his back, and couldn't move. He had been that way all day, literally unable to move, and even had to pee in a cup. My two youngest were running wild. You should have seen the koolaid mess in the kitchen.
He was put on anti-spasm, and anti-imflammatory drugs and oxycodon.
Now, he is being treated with a steroid shot in the back about once a month, and is feeling much better.
So I know, back pain can be a bitch.
