Saw this video at Hot Air. Dennis Kucinich sings to Jesse Jackson.
On the discussion thread following, someone said it's too bad Simon Cowell wasn't there. That got me thinking, and with apologies to Wuzzadem for stealing his style, here's what would happen if Kucinich had done that on "American Idol."

"..."
"Am I on my way to Hollywood?
"You know, you seem very sweet..."
"Thanks!
"Gotta tell you, dog. Your voice wasn’t the strongest, but you sang with passion and I was feelin’ it, know what I’m saying?"
"I thought it was atrocious…"
"Oh, come on Simon..."
"No, Paula. It was wretched. Name one good thing about Dennis’ performance. He was out of his range, he switched keys midway and his song selection was sixteen tons of awful."
"So I didn't make it?"
"No, Dennis. Thank you for coming, but if you had any dreams of becoming a star, they will not come true today. In fact, I'd rather have sixteen tons of horse manure dropped on my head than listen to you sing again."
"Dang, Simon..."
"Simon, why do you have to be so mean?"
"Okay, well...thanks for listening..."
"So, what did the judges say?"
"Those guys don’t know (bleep)! I can sing! I may not be the next American Idol, but I’m going to be big! Just wait! Simon, I better never see you on the street, because I’m going to kick your (bleep)! When I get my record deal, I'm goin' to shove it in your face, Simon, you (bleep)!"
"Emotions run high here at the Congressional building. We'll be back with more American Idol, right after these messages."
