Uh, Oh...
My seven-month old daughter has, for the past couple of weeks, risen to her hands and knees and rocked back and forth. We knew mobility was imminent, but had no idea when the day would come.
Turns out it was today. She went from dragging herself around to crawling in a matter of minutes, then figured out how to crawl in a particular direction only a few hours after that. It is truly amazing how quickly the progression happens.
Time to get out the baby-proofing stuff. This just made parenthood a lot more interesting.

Keep a close eye on your car.

Neither I nor my wife crawled as kids: I scooted on my butt, and she rolled. Our 2yr old never crawled either, she rolled too. If our 6-month old starts crawling, I think my eyes will bug out of my head. Even when I see other babies crawl, it looks weird to me.

Nail down EVERYTHING in the house below about waist level. Otherwise, eventually, in the mouth.
