Hanging Chads
Finally.
The ads will end, the phone calls will cease and my mailbox will not be full of colorful pamphlets touting the achievements or virtues of one candidate over another.
Of course, after tonight I'll probably be paying higher taxes to fund the multitude of investigations the Democrats are going to launch after they take control of the House. You win some you lose some, I guess.
As I watch the election results roll in and some Republicans go down to defeat, the prevailing thought for me will be that this downer of an election for the GOP is so unnecessary. They could have reformed the tax structure, restructured Social Security, developed a workable compromise on immigration - there could have been achievements. But Republicans wasted their two years in power trying to do as little as possible, thinking a low profile would get them re-elected when in fact all it did was make them look weak.
John Fund has written a guide to watching the election results.
Al Gore should never be forgiven for his role in bringing the courts into elections. I look forward to voting against him again after he beats Hillary in the Democratic primary.
James Lileks has an interesting perspective on the elections, Social Security and the ponderous nature of Garrison Keillor.
What you need to know about exit polls.
Pajamas Media is the place to go for a major roundup of news.
A little attitude adjustment video, courtesy of Allah. Hot Air has some major plans for this election.
The NRO-ites have put up their predictions. Most are not rosy.
Dan Rather is still trying to figure out the frequency.
There comes a point where you just have to let go. When it comes to Katrina, MSNBC just isn't there yet.

No more millions of wasted dollars for TV stations, Advertising companies, printers/mailer companies, and phone suppliers. All those tax dollars wasted, so hopefully it is a good sales season this holiday at WalMart.
