Maybe I'm Proving Sorkin Right
But come on, how many snarky 'dumb religious right' jokes and lines can a guy write into three episodes of one show?
I guess we know now, as I shut off "Studio 60" after 20 minutes tonight and don't plan to watch it again. I don't mind a few jokes now and again, as I know the religious right is ripe for satire, but eventually it just gets old.
The dialogue was good, the acting was great, but listening to a guy beat on the same stupid drum over and over and over again is just not entertaining.
Sorry, Aaron. You've lost me. Next time show some restraint and work out your issues in therapy, not on a television show.

Well put. Where does this hate come from? The religous right have not been an issue in decades. Maybe it's furstration on the part of the left at the idea that some people see black and white and live in a world of absolutes where wrong is wrong. I like the acting but theme of setting up the RR as the major antagonist in the show is stupid. If the want to see real religious outrage, show a joke about Islam.
West Wing? The show was a total left wing moon-bat fantasy. I had no reason to think this new show would be any different.
