Teething Sucks

The Tooth Fairy has replaced my happy girl with a screaming, drooling inconsolable monster. Just when we had all settled into a regular schedule, too.

Time to introduce the girl to the wonders of Tylenol.

Try Anbesol instead. You'll need all the Tylenol for yourself.

True.

My fear is numbing her face with that stuff. She tends to get active when you're trying to administer medication.

We do have a great teething aide, though. It's a rabbit with plastic hands that get cold. She gums that thing as though her life depends on it.

We used Anbesol on our little guy. Just rub it on the gum where the tooth is pushing through and, when the freezing kicks in, apply pressure to the area with a clean finger so the tooth cuts the gum a bit. It won't hurt her, the pressure will be relieved, and the pain won't return when the Anbesol wears off. Repeat as needed, usually just a couple of times a day, once in the morning and again before bedtime.

Good luck!
