Risking...um...Not Much

McCain says he'll "risk the presidency" over the interrogation bill.

John McCain, the Republican frontrunner for the 2008 presidential election, has dramatically raised the stakes in a fight with the White House over interrogation techniques permitted for use at secret Central Intelligence Agency prisons by saying he is unwilling to back down on the issue even if it ruins his chance of becoming president.
It's so cute how Senator McCain actually believes he has a chance at the presidency.

Sorry, John. A few days ago, an unconstitutional law you wrote and pushed silenced paid political speech in this country. Those of us who value the First Amendment and abhor grandstanding will never, ever vote for you.

So risk away.

McCain has obviously gone over to the other side.

On things like this, I use what I'll call the "mom test" to determine where mainstream America is at. I ask my 73 year old mom who isn't very political at all.

Her take was that we should use red hot pokers and the rack if necessary to get something out of a terrorist. She'd make a poor terrorist sympathizer I guess ;->

Discipline at your house must have been something...
