A Weird Child
Before my daughter was born, I thought all babies could be quieted by lullabies. I've found that's not really true. Tonight, she had a major fussy time. I tried some lullabies and some quiet songs, but none of them worked. In fact, she didn't relax until I played "Best of You" by the Foo Fighters, a song that doesn't exactly qualify as lullaby material.
Oddly enough, I've found that this also relaxes her. I'm not exactly sure why.
Kids are strange.

Yes, they are strange. My twin boys (now nine) got hooked on the Beach Boys early in life. One can still recite the words to "Little Deuce Coupe" on demand. Guess Mozart, et al, will have to wait.

I always had to sing On Broadway (the George Benson version) for my daughter before she'd go to sleep. I'm glad we were alone.

Heh heh heh... my youngest cousins LOVED rap and the Star Wars soundtracks when they were small. Even when they were old enough to choose their own music, my littlest cousin would sing some of the rap songs she listened to.
I love odd child behaviors. :)
