A Relaxing Weekend

Sorry for the lack of posts. I decided on Friday that I wanted to relax this weekend and spend time with the family, and finish my column for the week. When I logged into the MT software, I noticed a new comment, from someone named Sara, had been posted on an old entry. It reads:

I hate george bush he gets on my nerves. I think it is stupid that we have to have someone like him running our country. I honestly think my dog could do a better job, but that is just my opinion.
Thank you, Sara, for that trenchant political analysis.

Now allow me to respond with a quote from a thoroughly silly movie:

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
In the column I just wrote, I expressed my displeasure at the choices we're given for political parties. On the one hand you have the increasingly elitist and out-of-touch Republicans. On the other, you have the completely insane with BDS Democrats.

It makes you wish "none of the above" was a ballot option.

It's funny you say that. I've never voted in a primary before. Recent political shenanigans have left me more disposed towards doing so.

At least if I get involved on the ground level, I can do something to ensure a reasonable person ends up in office.
