Go Home, Fred

Fred Phelps and his hateful band of minions plan to spread their bile at a funeral here in Maine. Fortunately, the Patriot Riders and the Maine State Police will protect the mourners.

I hope their bus breaks down on the way. Just a warning, this post is simply venting.

Phelps is a pustule of hate, a vile creature who lives to make the lives of others as miserable as possible. I'm sure I speak for all Mainers when I say stay home, Fred. We don't want you here, we don't need you here and I for one hope your seemingly endless reservoir of hate gives you some serious ulcers. And I further hope those ulcers hurt.

I know these aren't exactly the most charitable of feelings, but I cannot tolerate Phelps or his perverse 'church.' I would say he's a sick man, but that lets him off the hook in a way. What's sad about Phelps is that he's chosen his life, chosen to hate, chosen to become the angry, bitter, miserable malcontent he is. He and his followers are simply terrible human beings, and if they continue believing the lies of their leader, their end will not be pretty.
