What the World Needs Now

Burt Bacharach has the answer to that question - a protest album collaboration with artists such as Rufus Wainwright and Dr. Dre. That's right - Burt Bacharach and Dr. Dre.

Legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach has "things he needs to say"; this time around though it seems love wont do, with a salvo aimed directly at the Bush administration with his new protest album "At This Time".

Set for release through Columbia Records on November 1, the new set features a host of major guest stars, as well as a 25-piece backing orchestra. It's also the first time Bacharach has written lyrics to his music.

"People ask why a man who has been known for writing love songs all of his life is suddenly rocking the boat," Bacharach says. "I had to do it. This is very personal to me, and this is the most passionate album I have ever made.

Sometimes, there are no words. That's just one of the weirdest things I've heard this month. Bacharach and Dre.

I won't buy the album (not a big fan of schmaltz) but if iTunes has samples, I'm there.

Count me as another person surpr ised that you simply did notinclude pepsi to the ??worst??? l ist or even acknowledge their redesign.Other specific comments. The new Pfizer logo looks sloppy and careless to me. The blue clearspace around the wordmark is uneven. I like the notion, but the execution is poor. The outdated a person is tighter.I do notunderstand what you like superior in regards to the new Guitar Hero logo. The damaging area in between the letters makes it nearly difficult to examine for me.As for El Banco Deuno, I do notget it by any means. The line breaks seem totally jarring to me and remind me of a logo I did for my s ister is line of crafts when I was about 15 (it was the phrase pollywogs??? on two lines, having a hyphen?- ugh).Lastly, I'd adore to discover your l ist of Identities which can be in desperate need to have of a redesign. My #1 select would be Verizon.
