Kerry's Campaign Begins

The Hill newspaper says John Kerry has become more vocal and critical of the Bush administration since losing last year's presidential election.

With an eye towards running for president again in 2008, the Massachusetts Democrat has positioned himself as one of the most pugnacious critics of the Bush administration, often aligning himself with liberal activists. But at times, his aggressive anti-Bush rhetoric risks alienating other parts of his own party.
Once again, Kerry is showing his complete lack of political savvy.

Positioning himself against the president may be a great way to fire up the base, but someone really should tell him that it's a poor strategy for 2008, as Bush won't be on the ballot. I signed up for emails from John Kerry and at least 90 percent of them have been reacting to the president rather than coming up with new policy initiatives.

Kerry may get some short-term benefit for his constant anti-Bush comments and votes, but it's clear he hasn't learned much from his defeat in the last election.
