Rove, Plame and the Camera Hog

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the possibility that Karl Rove may have been the source for stories about CIA agent Valerie Plame. Overall, I really think this is a nonstory marked by some unbelievable media hypocrisy.

When it looked as though the story might hurt Bush, the media was all over it and in favor of a special prosecutor. When the special prosecutor started to put pressure on the media to reveal its source, the story suddenly lost a lot of importance. Now that the leaker may be Rove, it's regained importance.

Amazing how that happened.

And these two are doing such a good job maintaining their anonymity, too.

UPDATE - Captain Ed brings a good perspective to this story. The media is hyping this story as 'did Rove do this or not' when they could answer all of the questions. It's all a big game of 'I know something you don't know' with the media playing the part of an obnoxious five-year old.

Sublog, you just don't GET it do you?

Liberals should be able to lie about whatever they like. Rove had no right to expose Joe Wilson's duplicity! How DARE he out a "secret agent" from behind her desk at Langley?!
