Attacks in London
The biggest story today, of course, is out of London and the terrorist bombings that took place there. Instapundit is gathering links. The Corner at National Review is also doing a good job collecting information from around the web.
UPDATE - I would say more about the political implications of this attack, but I'm with Ace - they're still counting the dead and mourning right now. There will be plenty of time for discussion later.
UPDATE II - That doesn't mean I can't be nauseated by the reaction of MP George Galloway. In part, he says:
The loss of innocent lives, whether in this country or Iraq, is precisely the result of a world that has become a less safe and peaceful place in recent years.I honestly didn't expect the Chamberlain contingent to come out so quickly with their 'cut and run' message. We have worked without rest to remove the causes of such violence from our world. We argued, as did the Security Services in this country, that the attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorist attack in Britain. Tragically Londoners have now paid the price of the government ignoring such warnings.
We urge the government to remove people in this country from harms way, as the Spanish government acted to remove its people from harm, by ending the occupation of Iraq and by turning its full attention to the development of a real solution to the wider conflicts in the Middle East.
UPDATE III - Continuing updates from British blogger Tim Worstall, (content warning - angry Brits venting) and these priceless comments:
Many thanks for the kind words and to those who have emailed offering condolences and prayers. I have a prediction to make, that tomorrow we’ll find out whether Britons are, still, in fact, Britons. Many years ago I was working in The City and there were two events that made travel into work almost impossible. If Al Queda thought Britain was going to be Spain, I think they may have miscalculated. The first was a series of storms that brought down power lines, blocked train routes and so on. Not surprisingly, the place was empty the next day. Why bother to struggle through?
The other event was an IRA bomb which caused massive damage and loss of life. Trains were disrupted, travel to work the next day was horribly difficult and yet there were more people at work than on a normal day. There was no co-ordination to this, no instructions went out, but it appeared that people were crawling off their sick beds in order to be there at work the next day, thrusting their mewling and pewling infants into the arms of anyone at all so that they could be there.
Yes, we’ll take an excuse for a day off, throw a sickie. But you threaten us, try to kill us? Kill and injure some of us?
F**k you, sunshine.
We’ll not be having that.
No grand demonstrations, few warlike chants, a desire for revenge, of course, but the reaction of the average man and woman in the street? Yes, you’ve tried it now bugger off. We’re not scared, no, you won’t change us. Even if we are scared, you can still bugger off.
UPDATE IV - The British Red Cross is on the scene helping those affected by today's terrorist attack. If you're so inclined, visit their site and give them a donation. Remember, though, it's almost $2 for every British pound, so a donation of 20 pounds will equal out to about $40.

"Chamberlain contingent"?
Wow...
I just came to this entry [not the first time I've been here] via the trackback at Patterico's post, and there is so much that I could say (and have said before) about this issue (and from a conservative perspective)... But I agree with the update at that entry - and with what Ace alluded to, which you mention above. Now is not the time this type of debate.
I don't believe that connecting the Blair government's foreign policy to these horrific terrorist attacks is a "leftist" position; I suspect that Tories and conservatives - both in the U.K., and elsewhere, will be expressing this type of theory...
But now is not the time for this type of discussion or debate. This type of dialogue, in light of the unspeakable horrors and atrocies that were committed today, is very wrong, and will be hurtful to the victims of these terrorist attacks. George Galloway and others who have used this tragic occasion to criticize their government's policies are acting irresponsibly and disrespectfully.
Both sides of this contencious debate need to cease their firing (at each other)... Now is the time to show unity with the British - and with our fellow citizens as well... Regardless of our personal viewpoints or geopolitical perspectives.

Ah, thought I recognized your name. Sorry it took so long for your comment to post - I put a moderation limit on number of URLS - comment spam was getting bad.
My 'Chamberlain contingent' comment was inappropriate, in retrospect. Sometimes I let my anger overwhelm my common sense. That's the danger of blogging, isn't it?

The new Zune browser is surpr isingly very good, but not as good since the iPod is. It works nicely, but is notas quickly as Safari, and includes a clunkier interface. In case you occasionally prepare on making use of the internet browser that isn't an difficulty, but if you??? re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod is bigger screen and far better browser may perhaps be significant.

It is good to discover a thing well worth looking at. Appears like everybody is starting a site and tossing up whatever pops into their mind. Typically it doesn't make beneficial sense. I am pleased to find out that is just not the situation right here.
