No Jobs?
MSNBC has a story on its website with this headline: "Can't Get a Job? Fewer hired in May." It's about how the job market is just crashing. I mean, only 78,000 people got work last month. But the unemployment rate fell.
Hmm.
The headline is misleading. It's not that there aren't jobs out there. It's that people aren't taking the ones that are available. The link takes you to the Bangor Daily News classifieds, which don't even list all of the available jobs in this area. And that's only one market in one city.
By the way, MSNBC put the bad news in the top block of its page again. Good economic news is usually put near the middle. Just something I've noticed. I'm not saying they're biased or anything.
Really. Who would think such a thing?
