Another Senator in Trouble
Last night, when the deal on judicial nominations was announced, Senator Lindsey Graham admitted that he would have a problem back home. Hugh Hewitt lets him know exactly how big the problem is:
I heard Sean Hannity roasting a retreating and apologetic Graham earlier today on my drive to the studio, and my guess is that the center-right political world is falling on on Graham (and DeWine.) They ran as conservatives, and their betrayal of the activists in the GOP will never be forgotten.Graham is from South Carolina and he's obviously trying to position himself for some higher political office. The major problem he has, of course, is that everyone can see that he's trying to position himself for a higher office.
It's clunky politics. I watched Graham today on Inside Politics and thought he was ineffective at explaining his position. He looked like an amateur, even though Judy Woodruff was pitching softballs at him. I hope South Carolinians are giving this guy a hard time this week.
