The Weekend
Just got back from a weekend in the bluest city of the bluest state in the Union - Boston, Massachusetts. In some ways, it's like a whole different country. The Kerry/Edwards signs are still on many cars, and the anti-W stickers are also prominent. Despite that, though, Boston is a great city. The seminar on youth ministry was fantastic and we followed it with a great meal at a small restaurant that served Peruvian, Bolivian and Latin American food.
On the way home, we stopped at the Christmas Tree Shop, a store designed to drive men completely insane. It's full of about 90% useless decorative stuff and about 10% useful stuff. When we walked in, the place was full of shoppers and a Bee Gees song was playing on the sound system. Since I'm convinced the Bee Gees are the soundtrack of Sheol, it seemed appropriate.
Normal blogging will continue tomorrow.

I had the chance to go up to Boston last september, and while yes, it was a bastion of liberality, the city itself was beautiful.
The sky itself was one of the most gorgeous midday skies I've ever seen - here's some pictures
