First Annual Carnival of the Playlists

Okay, this is a smallish one, but it's also the first one. For those who are just joining us, this is a collection of what other bloggers are listening to at the moment. Not the entire playlists of bloggers, mind you, but just a sampling of the collection.

We begin with my playlist, since I'm the host. When I listen to the iPod, it's usually on shuffle, but these are the songs I've scrolled to recently. When in doubt, find a U2 song - that's my motto.

Michelle from a small victory has a different take. She's listed the lyrics to a very funny, and very profane song about Boba Fett. She's pretty much beat me to the song-blogging, though, as she's been working on a labor of musical love for quite awhile.

Rob A. over at Fine? Why Fine? has a list of the "Top Ten Songs He's Into (Over the Last Week or So)." He said he's been meaning to do this for awhile, so I'm glad to be of assistance in encouragement.

JimSpot doubts this Carnival will last very long. Actually, so do I, but anything's worth a try.

Ace seems to be in love with Hall and Oates. Of course, if you want some really cool songs, check out his post on the fusion of Marvin Gaye and the Beatles.

Dave at Garfield Ridge posts pretty much anything he listened to or heard in the 90s. Very good list.

Steve over at World of Tomorrow has a playlist that ranges from Mastadon (what a great name for a band) to TobyMac. Secretly, though, I know he's still mourning for Dimebag.

Halbert's Cubicle has a good list of bands I haven't heard of, with the exception of Five Iron Frenzy. I have to say, I'm intrigued by the idea of Christian big band.

IowaHawk has done what I once thought was impossible. He has created a Jan and Dean/Beach Boys free collection of hotrod songs.

Thanks to everyone who entered. I think it's good to take a break from the serious news, especially given the events of the past few days.
