Primary Challenge Needed

Maine's Republican senators do not believe in the constitution of the United States. Olympia Snowe is opposed to the so-called "nuclear option" and Susan Collins is leaning against it. Neither of them has any constitutional basis for their disagreement. The concerns they have are based in what usually motivates the actions of these RINOS - they want to be popular.

"I am very concerned about the overuse of the filibuster," said Sen. Susan Collins, a Maine Republican who said she remains undecided. "But I am also concerned that a rule change will further charge the partisan atmosphere to the point that we will not be able to conduct business."

...Firmly opposed to the measure are Republican Sens. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island and Olympia J. Snowe of Maine, who cite concerns about protecting the minority party and avoiding a Democratic promise to halt most Senate business.

That's it. I'm done. What's the point of voting for these two again? Maine might as well have Democratic senators who are honest about who they are instead of these two. (h/t: New England Republican)

I'm certainly not the first to say it, but we've got to stop voting for these RINO's (Republicans in name only). We've had several of them here in California. Arlen Specter would be another good example on the national stage. We waste far too much energy helping these folks get elected, only to have them voting far too often with the other side. Thanks for the topic and for letting me vent.

Completely agree. I'm not planning to vote for Snowe next year. For too many years, she's gotten away with being able to say 'well where else are you going to go?' I think there's enough anger out there at her this time to lower her victory percentage. She'll still win, but it will be closer than before and hopefully she'll get the message.

All I know is that for many reasons, I cannot in good conscience vote for her any longer.
